Aberdeen Local Development Plan
The Aberdeen Local Development Plan represents Aberdeen City Council’s land use strategy for Aberdeen for 10 years from 2022. Its aim is to support the Council’s vision of creating a sustainable and socially equitable future for the city, as the home to its residents, as the regional centre of the North East, and as one of Scotland’s most important economic engines.
The Proposed Aberdeen Local Development Plan, Proposed Delivery Programme and associated background documents were presented to and approved by Full Council on Monday 2 March 2020. It was agreed that the Proposed Plan, Proposed Delivery Programme and Strategic Environmental Assessment would be published for a 12 week consultation period. This opened on 20th May. The period for making representation has been extended to over 14 weeks and will close at 11:59 pm on 31 August 2020.
You now have the opportunity to submit representations on the Proposed Plan, Proposed Delivery Programme and Environmental Report which comprises the Strategic Environmental Assessment and the Habitat Regulations Appraisal. These can be viewed on our website.
